Associate Professor Cathy Stinear – applied clinical neuroscientist at the University of Auckland and member of the Creative Thinking Project – gave a keynote speech in Kuala Lumpur recently as part of the University’s Global Alumni Series.
Her presentation, Creativity and Your Competitive Edge, examined how the way people live and work is being transformed, with new technologies and automation that will replace human labour on an unprecedented scale.
Dr. Stinear asked: What are our uniquely human capabilities? And how do we foster these to remain competitive in the rapidly changing world of work? She discussed the creative capabilities of the amazing human brain, and the new collaborations developing between man and machine.
